Plane crashes into garage killing six in Carterville
A private twin engine plane crashed into an attached garage in Carterville Missouri just before 1 a.m. killing all six aboard. The two men inside the home escaped unharmed. The victims included co-owners Earl Trahan and Jerry Johnson, Johnson’s stepdaughters Johnie Quebedeaux and Shanna Shields, Shields’ husband William Shields, and the pilot. Johnson was reportedly en route to Joplin after his daughter was injured. Investigators consider fuel exhaustion. FAA and NTSB will review tapes.
