College for men birth control debate highlights education gap

A Pew Research Center analysis shows men with college degrees have markedly lower odds of fathering a first child by age 25. Among dads ages 22 to 44 with less than a high school diploma, 70 percent had a first child by 25, while 14 percent of those with a bachelor’s degree did. The study notes higher education links to later fatherhood and potential mood risks for young fathers, alongside broader trends in maternal age.
