Kenneth Butt of Garden City has been named manager of the Sinclair service station at Syracuse by the State Line Oil Company. Butt has worked with the Kach Conoco service here. Two of Seven in Crew of Navy Plane To Go Home

Fatal to Alta Hoskinson Nearing 68 in Local Nursing Home
Mrs Alta M Hoskinson 68 died about 630 last night in a local nursing home after illness since January. Born in Indiana she came to Kansas circa 1900 and married Emmett Hoskinson at Oskaloosa August 27 1907. They moved to Garden City in 1950 from Emporia. Surviving are daughter LaReta Shaffer sister Aletha Rhodes of Lawrence. Funeral 10 am Monday at Phillips chapel with Rev Rudolph McAdams officiating.
