Campaign backs Kansas science standards education
An anti evolution group launched an Internet campaign to support Kansas science standards in schools ahead of August primaries. The Discovery Institute officials promote the Stand Up for Science site and petition while denying candidate involvement. Critics warn the timing aims to protect a conservative board majority as elections could shift control away from supporters. The standards, adopted last year, guide testing but local boards decide class content.
