In Topeka on Wednesday four Wyandotte County school districts argued before the state Court of Appeals that a Johnson County voter approved, three year quarter percent sales tax for education is unconstitutional and harms Wyandotte students. They contend the tax creates inequity vs county neighbors and is not voluntary. The case precedes the planned Aug. 30 Kansas Supreme Court action on the state’s school finance system.
