Windsor Hotel north wall gets fundraising push for restoration
Finney County Preservation Alliance and Garden City Arts launch the Blush the Walls campaign to fund exterior restoration of the Windsor Hotel. A goal of 44 000 dollars hinges on 1 760 donors each giving 25 dollars. Artist Armando Minjarez will create a 19th century styled Windsor Hotel sign and mural with a public painting workshop to engage the community. The project seeks state and city approval for the mural and sign and includes a red brick exterior repaint and a past era paint advertisement mural beneath the sign.
