Finney County faces 2008 budget with lower valuation
Finney County reports a 7 percent drop in total property valuation to 469.86 million for 2007 from 505.33 million in 2006 mainly due to a 22 percent slide in oil and gas valuations. With lower valuations, officials may consider raising the 2008 mill levy to maintain the 2007 tax funding level as department budget requests rise.
