Windsor Hotel revival draws on Plains Cheyenne model
Garden City activists and Preservation Alliance pursue restoring the Windsor to its 1889 grand hotel vision. Tom Klein, noted for Cheyenne Plains Hotel renovations, guides plans using past projects, with 65 rooms proposed and a bay of retail, cafe, and front desk operations to revive the landmark. Local leaders note Windsor’s long vacancy and historic potential amid demonstrations of community backing and fundraising efforts.
