Kansas Honor Flight fundraiser boosts veteran trips
Elkhart veteran Vince Forbes recalls the impact of Kansas Honor Flight with a story of visiting memorials in Washington D C. The 7th annual fundraiser at Finney County Exhibition Building raised an estimated four to eight thousand dollars with fundraisers, live music, auctions, and a car show. Proceeds support future flights for veterans including World War II Korean and Vietnam veterans, with organizers noting hundreds of veterans have already flown since 2012.
