Foot Rot Disease Claimed By Kansas Deer Population
Kansas deer herds face a suspected foot rot outbreak with higher than usual reports. Tim Donges of the Quality Deer Management Association and Shane Hesting of the Kansas Department of Wildlife Parks and Tourism coordinate with a Georgia lab to identify causes and confirm cases. Local hunters are urged to report suspected infections and samples will be collected county by county to track spread.
