Clutter Memorial project hoops and funding uncertain
Effort to build a circular granite memorial in a park for the Clutter family remains in limbo. Organizers, led by Garcia at Angel Monument Co., have avoided setting a fundraising goal while letters go out to locals and former acquaintances. They may scale back the design and add features if more donations arrive, aiming for completion by summer to mark the 50th anniversary of the Clutter murders chronicled in Capote's In Cold Blood.
