Gazing into 2002 a cheeky sports year forecast
A columnist lists mock 2002 events from January to December featuring fictional suspensions, resignations, and strange twists. Notable items include Dick Vermeil and Jim Mora cry-off, a coaching suspension, a 21-year-old pretended freshman, Tiger and PGA references, and a controversial NJCAA title strip from Broacbuster team. The piece uses satire with names like Bennie Lee, Bob Larson, and O J Simpson in a spoof sports year.

Garden City High School coach Matt Ellis will insert Trisha Dietz, a junior transfer from Holcomb, into the lineup tonight against Liberal after transfer sitouts.
