Bockelman 79 died Sunday January 5 2003 at High Plains Retirement Village Lakin Kansas Funeral services will be held 2 p m Wednesday at Boomhower Funeral Home Dighton with Rev Robert Roberts officiating Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery He was born January 15 1923 in Lane County son of August Henry and Dorothea Ehmke Bockelman He grew up in Lane County and farmed in Lane and Gove counties A Lakin resident for 30 years he belonged to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Scott City His interests were yard work and gardening He is survived by brother Theodore Bockelman Dighton sister Louise Bockelman Scott City and several nieces and nephews He was preceded by parents a sister Viola Hopka and brothers Walter Edward and Marion Visitation 9 a m until service time Wednesday at the funeral home Memorials to Pioneer Home or Holy Cross Lutheran Church care of the funeral home Carl Warner 89 died Monday January 6 2003 at Terrace Garden Care Center Garden City Price and Sons Funeral Home Garden City will announce arrangements.
