Inmates Riot At West Virginia Penitentiary Ends With Hostage Deal

Dighton native among eight dead in Antarctic plane crash
James M. Jasper, 56, formerly of Dighton, Kansas, is among eight Americans killed when a flight en route to a New Year’s Eve barbecue near an Air Force base in the South Shetland Islands crashes in heavy fog.
