Air Midwest Inaugurates Full Service In Kansas Cities
Air Midwest will complete the last phase of service improvement on March 1, adding full jet powered Metroliner service to Garden City Goodland and Hays. The carrier will operate four jet Metroliners, offering speeds up to 300 mph, pressurized cabins, and increased departures. In its first year, starting March 1 1977, the airline expects over 70000 passengers, 21000 departures, 10000 block hours, and more than 35000000 available seat miles across its route system including Dodge City Garden City Great Bend Goodland Hays Hutchinson Parsons Independence Coffeyville Lamar and the Tri Cities between Denver Kansas City and Wichita.
