Navy Seaman Apprentice Joshua Walters, son of Chrisshell and Darrell Walters of Lakin, finished eight weeks of training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes Illinois. The program covered naval customs first aid firefighting water safety and survival ship and aircraft safety with emphasis on physical fitness. The capstone Battle Stations test emphasized sacrifice teamwork and endurance applying core Navy values. Walters graduated from Lakin High School in 2010.
