Transload zoning on tap for Garden City commission
The Garden City commission will consider a comprehensive plan amendment and rezoning for a 5000 E Mansfield Road load facility from Finney County agricultural district to Garden City Heavy Industrial district at Tuesday’s 1 pm meeting at City Administrative Center. Other items include a 1106 Campus Drive rezoning, unsafe structure hearings for 205 and 207 S Fourth St, and renewal of City Manager Matt Allen’s contract. A pre meeting at 11 am will interview Finney County Economic Development Corporation Board candidates.

Marshall to take congressional oath and replace Huelskamp
Roger Marshall will be sworn in as U S representative for Kansas 1st District, succeeding Tim Huelskamp.
