Building permits uptick in Garden City November report
Garden City shows renewed momentum in construction with November permits totaling about 1.44 million, offset by a year-to-date gap to 2003 figures. Notable projects include homes at 1720 Summerwood Court and 1913 Harding Ave, plus commercial remodeling at Gibson's building and renovations at Time Out Sports Bar, Hard Rock Lanes, and Finney County Health Department. Countywide permits reach about 4.1 million year to date, aided by county and city monitoring stations for Wheatland Electric Co op project. Kentner notes mild winter kept work days from being lost and plans to finalize 2004 totals as month ends.
