Water release from Cedar Bluff moves toward Pfeifer wells
Cedar Bluff Reservoir water released at 50 cfs began crossing the U S 183 bridge near Schoenchen and slowly progresses toward Timber Creek about two miles downstream and the Russell Pfeifer wells, with officials eyeing a halt or slowdown once the flow reaches downstream segments. Ice, snow, and a dry creek bed slow progress while about 900 acre feet had been released and lake levels dropped slightly. Russell officials and state water leaders monitor daily and may adjust the release to keep water flowing to Pfeifer.
