In the last week Kansas operators announced 104 new locations with 34 wildcats and completed 98 tests. Completions include 41 wells at an estimated 946 bpd, 4 gas wells, 50 dry holes, 2 service wells, and 1 temporarily abandoned well. Total drilled footage about 358,666 feet.
The Kansas Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association will urge dealers to make small propane deliveries to rural residents unable to buy large quantities, despite potential losses. Gov. John Carlin asked for the action, aiming to keep rural homes heated this winter as about 140,000 families rely on propane.
