Tompkins to Lead FHSU as Interim President
Andy Tompkins has been named interim president of Fort Hays State University in Kansas. He says his main tasks are to steady the campus after a difficult fall and prepare the institution for a future president. He will serve six months to a year, with the search for a new leader yet to begin. Tompkins prioritizes international programs and the ongoing capital campaign while avoiding discussion of former president Mirta Martin’s departure.
