Questionable judgment suspends GC CC coach for two incidents

Garden City Community College coach Jeremy Cox received a two game suspension from the Jayhawk Conference commissioner Bennie Lee for actions off the court in November and December. The first incident followed Garden City’s 74 70 loss to Northeastern Colorado at the Dodge City Civic Center. Cox allegedly exchanged words with the officiating crew as they left for the locker room. The second occurred December 2 at the Jayhawk Conference Shootout in Coffeyville in a hotel room dispute with a referee. Details remain part of an appeal process, with only Lee speaking for the conference and Cox waiting for the committee to decide.
