Prisoners train dogs to become pets at Lansing prison
At Lansing Correctional Facility inmates train dogs from injury and abuse to become adopted pets. Toby Young leads the Safe Harbor Prison Dog Program, with about 800 dogs trained and 70 in training at once. Inmates, guards, and volunteers all participate as they form bonds with the dogs and reflect on their past crimes.
