Dirty diapers blamed for sewer clogs in Iowa town
In Council Bluffs, Iowa, officials suspect dirty diapers clogged sewer lines. David Hansen reported four inches of sewage in October, damaging his basement and forcing disposal of furniture, toys, and books. The Hansens seek about $18,000. the city says flushers are at fault. About 120 letters were sent to residents warning against flushing wipes and diapers, with no subsequent problems.
