Community hosts three day hunt weekend for wounded soldiers
The Garden City event drew about 21 participants and 70 donors. Soldiers hunted Friday while families enjoyed crafts, with a Friday sponsors banquet and a Saturday tree ceremony honoring fallen local soldier Bachman. Comfort Inn provided three nights, and the weekend was free aside from travel. Nix and Telinde organized a relaxing, respectful getaway for troops and their families, with Kim Kells and Generations Salon offering manicures, massages, and meals for the women.
