Pentagon Holiday Decor Rules Allow Seasonal Displays
The Pentagon limits festive hallway displays to a three week window each year under strict rules. Defense officials require permits, safety drawings, and adherence to a seven year old policy that bans candles loud music and hanging objects. The Navy fields four eight foot decorated trees this season with a waiver, while overall decorations must come down by the first Friday in January.
