House backs anti meth limits on cold medicines
The measure to curb pseudoephedrine sales passed the House and faces a shaky Senate vote. It would require cold remedies like Sudafed and Nyquil to be kept behind counters, limit buyers to about 120 pills per day and 300 per month, and enforce proof of identity. The bill also funds enforcement and cleanup efforts as it takes effect September 30, 2006.
