Bruce Wilkens, long a Scott County wheat producer, was appointed to the Kansas Wheat Commission in 1996. As chairman, he has promoted productivity and profitability through research and market development, traveling to Latin America and working with U S Wheat Associates. He is the third Scott County appointee, following Mary Harper and Henry Parkinson.
