Honduran documentarian shares homeland through film and travel
Oscar Rivera, a former Club Deportivo Olimpia soccer player known as Pope, uses documentary work to highlight Honduras culture. He traveled across the country with a camera, interviewing locals and showing how soccer united communities. Rivera now resides in Garden City with wife Valarie Smith, plans a one hour English film, and aims to inspire Hondurans to embrace their culture.
