Hospital to Welcome Eight New Physicians in Garden City

Garden City hosts a welcome event for eight new doctors at St. Catherine Hospital from 5 to 6 30 p m Thursday in the south lobby. The physicians include Titus Plomaritis Arif Rohilla Lindsay Byrnes Matthew Byrnes Resty Tibayan Mark Fesen Ajay Thakur and Bryan Stucky. Also at the hospital cafetaria the Eighth Annual Tree and Wreath Auction runs until 2 30 p m Friday to benefit gifts for local children.

KDOT begins crack sealing project on US 50

The Kansas Department of Transportation starts a crack sealing project today along 13 miles of U.S. Highway 50 in Gray and Ford counties from Cimarron east city limits to the U.S. 50 and U.S. 400 junction in Ford County. One lane through the work zone will be used with a pilot car guiding traffic, causing delays of up to 15 minutes. Drivers are urged to slow, heed warning signs, and be prepared to stop. Work should finish by early February if weather permits.
