Drug combo of Herceptin and Tykerb boosts survival in advanced breast cancer

In San Antonio, a study of 300 patients shows the Herceptin Tykerb combo extends median survival to 61 weeks versus 41 weeks for Tykerb alone. The trial targets HER-2 positive tumors with two drugs acting inside and on the cell surface.
