On call 24/7, he covers 20 buildings with eight apartments each, patrolling sinks, heaters, windows, fuses, and coordinating new tenant moves.

Belated write-in vote revives local justice of the peace case

A write-in candidate in Finney County, A. E. Rudd, says the county Board failed to count his votes and that the February election name was not approved. Rudd claims he was elected justice of the peace, with the office delayed to the next election. The Rev Leigh Perry was introduced at a Kiwanis pastors event, and other town notes include a unique Christmas card from M. W. McFarland, a Puerto Rico based diver’s Santa portrait, W. B. Tarver moving to Washington state to farm, and no entries yet in the Junior Chamber Christmas lighting contest. Weather Halts Plane Search Over Vanished Trans-Canada Air Lines Plane

Stormy weather forced a halt in the search for the Trans-Canada Air Lines four engine plane that vanished Sunday night with 62 aboard. Four search planes were recalled and eight Royal Canadian Air Force craft remained grounded at daylight due to hazardous conditions. American passenger and a college football player were among the 50 travelers aboard.
