Miss Finney County to Compete in 2008 Miss Kansas USA Pageant
Marisela Lira of Garden City, daughter of Sylvia and Pedro Lira, was selected to represent Finney County in the 2008 Miss Kansas USA Miss Teen USA Pageant in Lawrence on Friday. She attends Garden City High School as a junior and competes in swimsuit evening gown and interview. Sponsors include ARC Real Estate El Perico Charro Garland Funeral Home and others. The event aims to select Kansas representatives for Miss USA and Miss Universe, televised on NBC. The Finney County Genealogical Society meets Saturday twice at the Finnup Room with Johnetta Hebrlee presenting Christmas Traditions.
