GCCC student athlete dies in Finney County crash
A 19 year old Garden City Community College soccer player Samantha Stone of Amarillo Texas died in a head on crash on South US 83 in Finney County at about 1 45 a m foggy conditions. Stone crossed the center line and collided with a northbound pickup driven by Ciro Chavez 24 of Garden City. Chavez was hospitalized with unknown condition. Both vehicles were destroyed and no passengers were present.
