Boot Hill Distillery aims a farm to bottle revival in Dodge City
Haskell County farmers Hayes Kelman and his father Roger with partner Chris Holovach plan Boot Hill Distillery in a remodeled 86 year old Spanish revival municipal building at 501 W Spruce Street. The project uses a 500 gallon copper still to make corn whiskey then bourbon vodka and gin. They expect first production by year end with 50 gallons yielded from 500 gallons mash. The venture ties to Dodge City history and a 2014 190 649 Community Block Grant funding to stabilize the building listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
