Dow crosses 10000 as optimism returns to Wall Street

The Dow Jones rose above 10000 for the first time since before 9 11 as analysts urge caution. The 220 point gain meets skepticism about a sustained bull market. Nasdaq up over 83 and many expect gradual gains amid earnings, rates, and tax selling.

Counselor stabbed to death at high school

A 17 year old sophomore at an alternative high school stabbed a counselor during an argument in front of students and a teacher. The Rev Theodore Brown died from wounds after being stabbed five to six times in the stomach and chest. Corey Ramos fled the scene and was captured nearby. The incident occurred at Springfield High and the knife was found behind the school. Ramos is held without bail pending arraignment.
