CIMMARON-Patton Oil announces drill stem test results on No 1 Monger A in Gray County. Cherokee zone shows 200 ft of heavily mud cut oil between 4884 and 4930 ft while St Louis Mississippian A zone tests show gas to surface in 30 minutes and 1700 ft of 38 gravity oil recovered. Completion under way. field would extend Monger field eastern boundary if successful.

Oil counties rally to oppose severance tax lobbying drive
The Legislative Policy Group of oil and gas counties announces renewed anti tax lobbying for the 1983 session.
