Garden City CC Opens Golf Era With Loss To Dodge City
Garden City Community College begins its first men's golf season in 18 years with a 294-310 defeat to rival Dodge City at Buffalo Dunes. Coach Ryan Martin called it a learning start as GCCC seeks to regroup after the program’s 1993 regional title and use the dual as a launchpad for competition with top Jayhawk Conference teams. Alex Jones of Lakin shot 79 and had a strong showing, signaling potential for the reintroduced squad.
