Shared early childhood center eyed for USD 457 Garfield site

USD 457 plans to centralize 3 to 5 year olds at Garfield Elementary in a $97.5 million bond proposal to expand the campus by 18 700 square feet. The interim facilities would house 14 current classrooms and allow Head Start and special education programs to be integrated, boosting class sizes and resource sharing district wide.
