Steen earns LPGA promotion after third Symetra win
Marissa Steen, leader on the Symetra Tour money list, earns a promotion to the LPGA Tour and will play in the Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater CC, August 20 31. The West Chester Ohio native has three Symetra wins this season, including the Eagle Classic, and tops the money list with 75,348 this year. Steen will join a growing list of Symetra graduates on the LPGA Tour after finishing in the top-10 in most events this year. She has previously qualified for the US Women's Open and the Marathon Classic, aiming for a full LPGA card. Steen plans to decide on the Garden City Charity Classic by September 2.
