Crash Victims Are Found In Air Force Collision
The body of Capt Leonard A Theis 29 of San Fernando California was found 214 miles southeast of Irwin Town ending the search for the Aug 19 bomber collision that killed three airmen. Survivors include Capt Richard M Smiley Capt Allan B M Ramsey and Capt Richard M Snavlen. A search concentrated southwest of Irwin after an unopened parachute and Theis personal items were located. The crash involved two B47 bombers on a training flight from Shawling Air Force Base Salina Kansas.
