YMCA of the Rockies Family Retreat by Estes Park

The Delaneys spent a three night stay at the YMCA of the Rockies near Estes Park Colorado on a family vacation. They enjoyed the grounds on 900 acres by the Big Thompson River with many activities for older kids while younger children found fewer options. They observed teenagers at a religious retreat with Bible reading and a false fire alarm incident. Bears were feared due to open burn bans and nightly door warnings. They returned home Sunday tired but refreshed and unable to catch the local news as the lodge had a single CNN channel.
