Tumbleweed founder Sweley says farewell moves to Salina
Sweley plans retirement from the Tumbleweed Festival as he relocates to Salina with his wife Cheryl and children. Garden City honors him with a key to the city after 19 years of service as a Presbyterian pastor and festival advocate. The festival grew from a sampler to a two day community event with stages and family activities. Residents praise Sweley for building a cohesive Garden City celebration that became a town staple and a source of local pride.
