Garden City USD promotes four administrators for 2016 17
Four experienced district staff members have been promoted to principal and associate principal roles for the 2016 17 school year. Lucas Sullivan becomes associate principal at Horace J Good Middle School, Jarrod Stoppel is principal at Kenneth Henderson Middle, Lind Finch leads Plymell Elementary and Stoppel Charles O Stones Intermediate Center, and Drew Thon becomes associate principal and athletic and activities director at Garden City High School. Stoppel aims to build strong relationships with staff, students and parents as he steps into the Henderson role.

Kansas Secretary of State confirms Alan LaPolice and Miranda Allen qualified by petition to appear in the November 8 elections for the 1st and 4th Congressional District races.
