Wheat and grain markets mixed with livestock prices steady
Wheat prices in Wichita showed general steadiness for slaughter classes while hogs and sows rose. Cattle vealers and calves traded around 17 to 18 dollars. Kansas Trucker Killed In an Illinois Crash
A Kansas truck driver, Doyt Romines, 29, of Kansas City, Kansas, died after a collision with a semi trailer on Route 50 near U S 54 in Monee Illinois. The other driver, Richard Goodrich 26 of Kankakee Ill, escaped unharmed. Romines died en route to St James Hospital in Chicago Heights. Monee sits about 30 miles south and 1 west of Chicago.
