Mildred H. Clark 91 of Lakin died August 14 2007 at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital Ulysses. Born January 16 1916 in Kanopolis she married Jack Henry Clark in Ulysses and later earned a liberal studies degree from the University of Oklahoma. A nurse poet artist and longtime community leader she served as Girl Scout coordinator and church and school volunteer. Survivors include three daughters three sons many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Saturday at First Presbyterian Church Lakin with burial in Lakin Cemetery. Visitation Friday at Garnand Funeral Home Lakin. Memorials to First Presbyterian Church.

Garden City teen Isaac Asebedo, age 18, pleaded to three counts and had 66 charges dropped. He received three years in a juvenile correctional facility, with extended juvenile jurisdiction if he breaches terms, plus restitution of 22746.58 and 8000 in fees. He faces additional cases awaiting sentencing.
