Feds say relief well must go forward to seal BP spill
BP’s blown out well is not securely plugged and the relief well must continue. Admiral Thad Allen said the bottom kill will be finished and the well will be killed, with four days possible to restart after weather delays. Scientists stress caution. BP and government teams work on preventing further damage while aiming to seal the site. Local officials and residents express cautious optimism amid ongoing remediation efforts.
