City considers electronic message boards with time limits
Garden City commissioners weighed planning commission input on allowing electronic message boards in C-2 districts along Kansas Avenue and Fulton Street. The plan caps sign height at 20 feet and requires one non animated message every five minutes with 20 to 50 square feet per sign, one sign per property, and landscape setback. City leaders stressed balancing modern signage with town aesthetics, noting the change can be revisited if five minute limits prove too strict.
