Norma Nichols of the Senior Center of Finney County told commissioners that keeping the 2010 budget at the reduced level will force cuts to employee benefits and staff. SDSI representatives pressed to restore funding to 200,000 while the commission left the request at 180,000. The panel approved a mill levy of 37.304 for 2010, up from 36.326, with services at risk if funding cannot be restored.
