Main Street work continues at Pine and Stevens

Reconstruction of the Main Street intersection with Pine Street and Stevens Avenue progresses. On Monday traffic shifts to the southbound lanes as J A G begins removing pavement on the east side while finishing Pine and Stevens. With good weather, work should finish by Labor Day weekend. Traffic remains one lane each way except during concrete placement when one lane is controlled by flaggers. Parking on the west side is prohibited through the area. A few parallel spaces will be marked in front of Stage, the Family Bookstore, and Main St. Salon. Detours allow access to east side shops between Laurel Street and the work zone.
